One year ago, on July 24, 2015, we released the new Power BI service, Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Mobile as an innovative cloud-based business intelligence solution. One year later we've committed 535 software updates, held the first Data Insights Summit, and been put to use in over 200,000 organizations! We've launched the launched the Data Stories Gallery, the Custom Visuals gallery, publish to web, and so much more. Power BI would not be the product it is today without your ideas, your feedback, and your support. Thank you so much to everyone in our community of users, and here's to the next 12 months!

Microsoft's Guy in a Cube has been providing tips and tricks for Power BI and Business Intelligence on his YouTube channel since 2014. This week, he reunites with his little buddy Spud Trooper to discuss the new On-premises Data Gateway and how it affects users of the existing Power BI Gateway. Together they explain what has changed, how to migrate your current gateways, and how the On-premises Data Gateway works with PowerApps, Microsoft Flow, and Logic Apps, as well as Power BI.

Want to have your work featured next month in the Data Stories Gallery? We welcome all Power BI Community members to share their best data stories, and next week we will highlight some particularly exemplary submissions from July. Once you’ve posted a new data story, tweet a link to it with the hashtags #powerbi #datastory. We’ll review all tweeted stories, and choose several to become featured. One lucky submitter will even win a Power BI t-shirt and a special badge of recognition for their community profile.
