| | Power BI Desktop adds advanced mapping capabilities, forecasting features, R IDE integration, and more
The Power BI Desktop update for September is out and packed with many new features and improvements! We're excited to announce our Esri map integration, DirectQuery support for the Snowflake Connector, new forecasting features, and the and the ability to create a mobile report layout. Additionally, this release allows you to edit R visuals in your favorite R IDE! A few of these features are still in preview, so please be sure to try them out and let us know what you think. We all want our data to fit into our pocket and be available anywhere, but a big challenge for reports on phones is finding the right about of interactivity for a small device screen. That's why we're excited to announce our preview of customized phone reports. With this new feature you can specifically tailor a portrait view of your existing report on Power BI Desktop for mobile viewers. Simply publish your tailored report to the Power BI service, and it's instantly available to all mobile users on any screen size.
